When using Fudo ShareAccess, two main approaches are available: accessing resources and granting access to resources.

  1. Accessing Resources:
    • Webclient: The easiest and quickest way to access resources is through the built-in browser Webclient. This approach provides a seamless and user-friendly experience, ideal for end-users accessing shared systems or applications.
    • Native Clients: For those who prefer using their own tools, SSH or RDP clients can be utilized to access resources directly. This option is suitable for users requiring a more customized or technical interface.
  2. Managing Access: For managing and administrating access, Fudo Enterprise is required. This product provides the necessary controls to define permissions and oversee resource sharing.

Note

To manage resource access, an Fudo Enterprise instance must first be connected to Fudo ShareAccess. Once the connection is established, administrators can grant access to resources in Fudo Enterprise for users within Fudo ShareAccess, ensuring secure and efficient resource sharing.

Network Requirements

To enable Fudo Enterprise communication with the Fudo ShareAccess platform, make sure the following outbound connections are allowed:

  • api.shareaccess.com on port 443 – required for API communication over HTTPS.
  • connect.shareaccess.com on port 65522 – required to establish a tunnel between Fudo ShareAccess and Fudo Enterprise.
  • acme-v02.api.letsencrypt.org on port 443 - required for certificate issuance and renewal.

Verify that your firewall or proxy settings do not block these endpoints.
