Licensing

Last update: 28.03.2025

This section outlines the licensing model used in Fudo ShareAccess, providing details on license management, usage calculations, and the trial option available to organizations. The flexible licensing system is designed to balance usability and strict access control, ensuring compliance with organizational needs.

License Overview

Fudo ShareAccess operates on an annual subscription model, with limits calculated on a monthly basis. Licenses are structured to provide flexibility while enforcing key access and resource-sharing rules.

Note

The license for Fudo ShareAccess is separate and independent from the Fudo Enterprise license.

User and Organization Licensing

Licenses for users are calculated based on their activity status. When a user is deactivated, their license remains occupied. Reactivating this user in the same month counts as a new user, incrementing the license counter. This should be noted when managing inactive or temporary accounts.

Licensing for organizations is based on the sharing of resources across entities. If resources from Fudo Enterprise are shared with users from another Fudo ShareAccess organization, this action is counted as an additional organization within the license. However, there are no limits on the number of users accessing shared resources, ensuring unrestricted collaboration across teams.

Managing Licenses

Fudo ShareAccess license management is accessible exclusively to superadmin users within the Fudo Enterprise. Licenses are synchronized with Fudo Enterprise to automatically reflect the latest user statuses, and usage counters are recalculated at the beginning of each month.

Trial Licenses

For organizations exploring the platform, Fudo ShareAccess offers a trial license option. The trial can be initiated through the Fudo ShareAccess tab in Fudo Enterprise and is available only once per organization. The trial includes the following limitations:

  • A maximum of 10 active users.
  • Resource sharing with 1 external organization.
  • A duration of 14 days from the activation date.

The trial operates under the same rules as a standard license, offering a realistic experience of the system’s capabilities. However, once a standard license is uploaded, the trial option is no longer available.
