Groups (RBAC)¶
Groups provide an extra layer of control over access to resources. Administrators can create user groups to manage resource access more precisely, ensuring that only authorized users can access specific safes. This feature will improve both security and flexibility in managing access to sensitive data.
Groups support integration with external systems that use the Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) model. This enables you to map specific roles from external directories, such as Active Directory, to Fudo Enterprise groups and assign specific roles. Users automatically inherit permissions and resource access based on their assigned role, ensuring consistent and centralized access management.
Note
User groups can be assigned to safes to define which users have access to specific resources. It is also possible to assign individual users directly to a safe. This means that both user groups and individual users can be granted access to safes, offering flexibility in access control configuration.
