Assigning Users and Groups to Collections

Collections can have specific users or groups assigned to them, allowing for granular access control over secrets. By assigning users to collections, you can control who has access to which secrets.

Warning

Nested collections can inherit permissions from parent collections. Enabling the Inherit from parent collection option removes direct permissions. Any future permissions will be inherited from the parent collection.

The following access levels are available:

  • View on request – allows the user or group to view the collection and its secrets in the list and request one-time access to preview the secret content. Access requires administrator approval.

  • View – allows the user or group to view the details of all secrets in the collection at any time. No approval is required.

  • Full edit – allows the user or group to fully manage all secrets in collection. No administrator approval is required.
